LOOKING FOR A THERAPIST?

General Register

If you are seeking the services of a Hypnotherapist in a specific location, first click  "Find a Therapist in your area" in the Home Page menu and then click the relevant location from the list of choices displayed. Next click the required county from the alphabetical list.  Areas are then listed alphabetically by main town and individual practitioners within each area are again listed alphabetically by surname.  If a practitioner has their own e-mail address and / or website, these will be visible directly below the telephone no/s and may be accessed directly by clicking the selected item. Please note that e-mail addresses  appear only as the word E-mail and will immediately open into a message box when clicked and Website addresses appear only as the word Website and will similarly open when clicked.

Foreign Language Register

If you are seeking the services of Hypnotherapists who are able to provide therapy in a language other than English, return to the Home Page menu and click the item "Ethnic & Foreign Language Speaking Register". This will open into a table in which practitioners are listed alphabetically by the language spoken.

Special Interest Registers

If you are seeking the services of Hypnotherapists who have a special interest in specific areas of treatment (e.g. Pain Management etc.), return to the Home Page menu and click "Special Interest Registers" and then click the relevant item from the list of choices displayed. This will open into a table in which practitioners are listed alphabetically by county.  Further Special Interest Registers will be available in due course but if your particular interest is not currently listed, you should contact practitioners from the main registers to determine whether they are able to provide therapy that will meet your specific requirements (e.g. Smoking Cessation etc.)

Therapists who have also trained in other approaches

Hypnotherapists often use a range of techniques which may be unfamiliar to those seeking therapy.  Frequently included among these approaches are:

LOOKING FOR TRAINING IN HYPNOTHERAPY?

If you are seeking to train as a Hypnotherapist, you will find a list of organisations who all offer training courses *validated at practitioner level by returning to the Home Page menu and clicking the item  "Hypnotherapy Training". From the choices displayed, select "Practitioner Level Training".

(*Validation is offered by the GHSC on its own volition and does not infer any form of statutory or nationally agreed accreditation. Although the GHSC currently represents a major section of the Hypnotherapy industry, there is currently no overall agreed process for the accreditation of training courses.  See also the item The General & Senior Qualifications in Hypnotherapy Practice on the Home Page menu.)

 If you are either a practising Hypnotherapist or student in training and are seeking to contact a One to One Supervisor or Peer Support Group in your area, please return to the Home Page menu and click the  item "Supervision Resources for Practising Therapists".  Then select either "One to One" or "Peer Support Groups" for regularly updated tables in which resources are listed alphabetically by county.
