LEVELS OF REGISTRATION
Whilst the vast majority of listed therapists are registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), a significant number have been awarded Affiliate status only. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
Prospective clients need to be fully aware of this distinction when selecting a therapist and to clarify this, every therapist listed at Affiliate status on the GHR website has the designation (Affil.) after their name.
Affiliate level registrants are obliged to undergo further training and/or Supervision of one form or another and to participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities before they are eligible for an upgrade to Practitioner status.
