UK Hypnotherapists Sought for Research Project

Lynda Witchell, who holds both Senior Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner statuses within the GHR, has requested that we post the following:

I am currently looking to recruit participants to take part in my research project. This is the final part of an MSc in Psychology at Northumbria University.

I am investigating the attitudes, acceptance and use of video conferencing to deliver hypnotherapy online.

The ethical committee approved the study at Northumbria University (No. 49751).

I am looking for participants who are either qualified hypnotherapists or trainees and are based in the UK. They are adults (18+) and should have used video conferencing at least once to deliver hypnotherapy.

The study will involve:

Completing an online survey which should only take about 10 mins to complete.

The opportunity to join a focus group to discuss the findings further.

To go to the anonymous online survey, please click the link below.

New Book Announcement – by Hannah Charman

Do you love what you do but struggle to make it pay? Does the thought of selling your hypnotherapy sessions to clients make you cringe? Are you spending a lot of time and effort on your practice but not getting the results you deserve?

You need to read ‘Minted’, the new book by GHR practitioner, Hannah Charman. Hannah originally trained as a Medical Herbalist and struggled for years to make her practice profitable. When she first set up her business, there was no training or support to help her, and she came close to giving up several times. ‘Minted’ goes through everything Hannah learnt from her many mistakes as well as the business coaching and therapy she invested in. It’s the book she wished she had 20 years ago, and it explains the mindset and practical aspects of how she got her business thriving. There are also plenty of exercises in there to help you focus on your goals, and some colouring to activate your creativity.

“I’m in the first year of my hypnotherapy business and I wish I’d had this book from the start! Hannah offers a refreshing take on running a business for the first time, authentically, staying true to yourself and your values in life. A book you can revisit time and time again.”
