My background is that I have been a registered nurse and midwife for over 30 years. My practice has taken me around many Trusts in England, New Zealand and Germany. I have completed a counselling course and become a Registered Hypnotherapist.

I have over 15 years experience working with women who have a fear of birth, following a difficult personal experience of birth, a close friend or relative or where there is no clear focus. Birth is such a memorable and important experience for women, their partners and family. Difficult memories can cause many years of distress and impact adversely on relationships. Sometimes creating such fear that women and/or their partners feel unable to consider having another child. I can help to support healing and planning for future birth including teaching relaxation and hypnobirthing techniques.

Another area of speciality is help if you are having problems with pets especially dogs and horses. Often the unwanted behaviour in the animal can be caused by the owner/rider due to fear following a poor experience. Animals pick up their human companion’s fear and become more likely to react by either threat or running/bolting. I have been able to work with dog owners to reduce their feelings of fear following an incident and replace their reactions with calm, confidence and relaxation creating a reduced risk of the animal adversely reacting.

I have the skills and tools to support people to make changes to their lives to create positive mind states including, calm, confidence and relaxation, change unwanted and negative behaviours and beliefs to create a healthier life style including smoking cessation, weight loss and rid other unwanted reactions and behaviours.

I live in Selston in Nottingham. The area of my practice covers Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. My practice is mobile which means that I can come and visit most clients in their own home. There is an alternative option to come to a private room in my home if this is better.
